- internally evaluated EuDML
- 2008 - 2011: available for public services or research projects on similar topics
- 2006 – 2007: knowledge management specialist - IAEA, Vienna, Austria
-
designed and implemented a few open-source search services and their interfaces (based on Lucene.NET):
- Nuclear Energy Knowledge Resources: Query/browse for documents published by the IAEA's Department of Nuclear Energy
- Fast-Reactors Knowledge Preservation - Search: Query/browse service through the whole collection of metadata and full-text documents available from INIS on the Fast-Reactors topic
- NuArch - Search:
Full-text, free-term and taxonomy-based search utility through an
indexed cluster of documents collected from the public websites of a
few organizations related to the nuclear domain
-
curated metadata for the Fast-Reactors related items available in INIS
-
designed and implemented an accurate archival method for a web crawling project: NuArch
- 2005 – 2006: research consultant with Max-Planck Institute for Gravitation Physics, Golm/Berlin, Germany; EDPSciences, Les Ulis, France and Design Science, Long Beach, CA, U.S.A.
- tuned Hermes as a LaTeX to XML converter/translator
- trial conversion of a set of arXiv articles
- 2002 – 2005: research associate, Max-Planck Institute for Gravitation Physics, Golm/Berlin, Germany
- designed and implemented a semantic XML+MathML+Unicode
authoring and e-publishing software tool for scientific articles
authored in LaTeX containing mathematics: Hermes, a software prototype in the MoWGLI research project, E.U. funded, IST programme
-
2000 – 2002: research associate, psycholinguistics, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A.
- constructed a validating grammar for the CHILDES corpora of annotations in CHAT format, in collaboration with prof. Brian MacWhinney;(NSF funded TalkBank project)
- built the CHAT XML-Schema vocabulary, the richest structural part of the Talkbank schema
- built
a CHAT parser/translator to XML and exported the CHILDES corpora (about
10000 files, in about 26 different languages, containing structured
psycholinguistic annotations) to the Talkbank ontology. The entire new
collection of files was validated by the Talkbank schema.
